OUTSTANDING DIPLOMATIC ACTIVITIES OF TIEN GIANG IN MAY 2019
Implementing the guideline of the Party and Government on multilateralizing and diversifying diplomatic relations and proactively integrating into international community, The provincial authorities had some outstanding diplomatic activities in May as follows:
On the afternoon of May 8th, 2019, Tien Giang Labor Union organized the Conference on Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP). The event was attended by over 600 leaders of provincial government agencies, trade union officials at all levels and leaders of enterprises in the province. At the Conference, Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu - Member of the National Assembly, Deputy Chairman of Viet Nam General Confederation of Labour presented 03 major topics related to Vietnamese labour when Viet Nam joined CPTPP as follows: some big issues related to labor relations and Viet Nam Labour Unions nowadays; Opportunities and challenges for Viet Nam Labour Unions brought by CPTPP; And the impacts of Industrial Revolution 4.0 on workers and the union's activities.

On May 9th 2019, Tien Giang College organized a ceremony to receive USD 29,955-worth equipment funded by Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA). The equipment belongs to the Multimedia Hall Improvement Project approved by Tien Giang People's Committee in Decision No. 3834/QD-UBND dated December 3rd, 2018. This project, proposed by Mr. Choi Yeong - a KOICA volunteer working at Tien Giang College, has contributed to improving conditions for meeting, learning and the performing art at Tien Giang College in the coming time.

Since 2014, through the program "Korea, Friend of the World", there have been five KOICA volunteers working at Tien Giang College in the fields of automobile, information technology and electrical refrigeration.

On May 9th, 2019, Mr. Luu Van Phi, Director of Department of Foreign Affairs had a meeting with KOICA representatives to discuss the current activities of volunteers in the province and demands for volunteers in 2019-2020.

On May 9th, 2019 Dr. Le Minh Tung – Vice Rector of Tien Giang University had a meeting with KOICA representatives to decide the location of the "Korean - Vietnamese Space" Project and provide information about teaching and learning Korean at the University and activities of Mr. Jang Jae Dong- KOICA volunteer. The two sides agreed to continue to proactively cooperate in volunteer, language and culture exchange, especially the "Korean - Vietnamese Space " Project at the University.

On April 22nd, 2019, Mr. Le Ba Ngoc, Principal of Nguyen Dinh Chieu Upper secondary school had a meeting with a delegation from Freyberg High school, New Zealand led by Mrs. Wendy Jochem, the Principal International. At the meeting, the two sides shared their experience in helping students and teachers become more proactive in foreign language classes.
