OUTSTANDING DIPLOMATIC ACTIVITIES OF TIEN GIANG

Thực hiện chủ trương đa phương hóa, đa dạng hóa các quan hệ đối ngoại, chủ động và tích cực hội nhập quốc tế, các cấp chính quyền tỉnh Tiền Giang đã thực hiện một số các hoạt động đối ngoại trong tháng 2 năm 2020 như sau:
Implementing the guideline of the Party and Government on multilateralizing and diversifying diplomatic relations and proactively integrating into international community, the provincial authorities had some outstanding diplomatic activities in February as follows:
From January 8th - 22nd 2020, a delegation from Pusan National University led by Prof. Kim Sangil conducted their winter volunteer program 2019 at Tien Giang University. They showed the students and employees of the provincial University how to use 3D printers, Drone and Arduino and edit videos using smartphones.

On February 11th 2020, the provincial Red Cross Society in collaboration with Cannelle Association (France) gave bicycles and some gifts to poor but studious students in Tan Phuoc district. At the ceremony, 20 bikes and some gifts were presented to these students. They will help the district students with their going to school and encourage them to study hard.
The provincial People's Committee promulgated the Decision No 332/QD-UBND on 17/02/2020 authorizing Tien Giang University to receive equipment and decorative objects to establish the Korean Space. This project will be carried out by Mr. Jang Jaedong - a KOICA volunteer. Its total implementation cost is US$ 18,655.96, which will be funded by KOICA.
On 06/02/2020, the provincial People's Committee promulgated the Plan No 24/KH-UBND on preventing and combating human trafficking in 2020. Accordingly, the following tasks will be implemented: more international cooperation to prevent and combat the trafficking and protect the rights and benefits of Viet Nam citizens abroad as well as foreigners in Viet Nam; ensuring adequate resources for implementing the action plan of preventing and combating the trafficking from popularization activities to combating the crime; rescuing and supporting the victims, contributing to maintaining security and order for the provincial socio-economic development.
On 17/02/2020, the provincial People's Committee promulgated the Decision No 4724/QD-UBND authorizing the provincial Red Cross Society to receive a grant of approximately 01 billion dongs from Cannelle Association to support its charitable activities in 2020. A lot of activities such as constructing houses for the poor, scholarships and study equipment for students, support for victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin will be carried out.
Recently, the provincial People's Committee promulgated a decision to authorize the provincial Union of Friendship Organizations to receive 200 scholarships provided by The Dariu Foundation for students with good academic result in its computer and programing skill training course in Go Cong Dong district. The total scholarship funding is 100,000,000 dongs.
The provincial People's Committee promulgated a decision to authorize the Union of Friendship Organizations to receive 90,000,000 dongs from USG BORAL and PACE ACADEMY (USA) via Habitat For Humanity- Vietnam for constructing 02 houses for the poor in Go Cong town.
